Workshops & Training Schedule
To obtain a WebCT account for an initial course offering, go to http://www.westga.edu/~websa/webct/courseRequest.html . All WebCT sessions are free to UWG faculty, and staff or students using WebCT at UWG. To register for one of the workshops below: E-Mail distance@westga.edu to reserve your seat. Please include specific date, time & the topics you wish to be covered. Faculty teaching courses 50% or more online will have priority.

Just-in-time Assistance for Faculty & Staff
One-on-one assistance in the DDEC Lab is available on the topic of your choice. Please let us know what time you are coming & what type of assistance is needed, so that we will have proper resources on hand. Bring any necessary files formatted for a PC. Contact distance@westga.edu to make your appointment.
Dr. D Makes Housecalls: The DDEC offers "housecalls" to faculty who need assistance with distance learning. DE Staff and student assistants are available to visit faculty in their offices mornings, by appointment. Visits will be limited to 30-minutes. Support will be limited to providing assistance with WebCT course tools, demos of technologies and software (such as HorizonWimba, Impatica, etc), basic course evaluation, and improvement. Faculty who need immediate assistance should still contact the distance learning helpline. Those who need in-depth training should attend weekly workshops or seek one-on-one training in the DDEC lab.
