Course Copy Request Form for Spring 2009 Courses & Forward

If you are requesting a migration copy of your courses from the old WebCT Vista 3 to CourseDen, then DO NOT USE THIS FORM!!

Instead, note that requests to copy materials from the old Vista 3 server could take up to 3 weeks and should be submitted via this form: http://www.westga.edu/~distance/webct1/faculty/requestbackupform.php

Once you build a CourseDen Vista course section that you like, you can simply reuse that content over and over each subsequent semester.

Using this form, you can specify that you'd like the contents of one course section copied over to one or more sections. This can be done across semesters, or just as a method to copy contents. Please keep in mind that the copy will take a snapshot of the section in its present state, so it is recommended that you have done as much work as possible in the original Master (Template) section. Student data including postings, grades, and roster are not copied.

WARNINGS:

IF you wish to cross-list (group many course sections together into one course), DO NOT complete this form until your course sections are cross-listed
IF you wish to cross-list course sections, use this form and wait on comfirmation that the process is complete, before requesting a course copy. Failure to wait until a course is cross-listed before copying, will wipe out the coped material when the cross-listed is processed.

A course copy cannot be done once class begins or all student data and messages will be lost.

This request may take 2-5 workdays to complete, due to the complications of migrating materials from the old WebCT Vista server to the new CourseDen.

ALL content in the receiving section will be overwritten by the Master template's content. Any work already done in the receiving section will be LOST and cannot be retrieved.
