Cut, Copy and Paste
In order to cut or copy, you must first have a portion of audio selected. Cut: removes your selection from the track and copies it to the clipboard. Copy leaves the selection in place while copying it to the clipboard. The paste function inserts cut or copied portions from the clipboard into the audio track. These features can be reached through the edit menu or you may use the keyboard shortcuts: CTRL X - Cut, CTRL C - Copy and CTRL P - Paste. Also, to paste you can either select a place by clicking the audio track and pasting into that location, or selecting a portion of audio to paste over.
